M.U.T.T.S.  21ST ANNUAL REUNION

 

  This is the 21stth time we are holding a Reunion.  WOW!  Who would have thought that this idea would last…and still we are gathering as a family, drinking beer, voting in new members, and still going strong!  The 21st Annual Reunion begins on Wednesday July 16th and ends Sunday July 18th.  Some of us will be there on Monday.  Our usual site at Tall Oaks Campground has been confirmed.  The campground is located 12 miles East of Uniontown in Farmington, PA.  (See back for directions.)  There are restaurants, stores, a winery, a beer distributor, and a liquor store all close by.  There is also a petting zoo, Falling Waters, Ohio Pyle, and Fort Necessity.  The campground has showers, private bathrooms, and a little store.  Pool is open!  To all of you that haven’t been to a Reunion in a while.  This is a nice private place with a huge concrete pavilion, running water, electricity, and out houses and port-a-potties.  We still drink beer, but now speak of old times, health insurance, and are thankful for a beer truck to keep all the stuff cold.  We’ve come a long way since the first few reunions. Sat has now become family day with a lot of us having our children there during the day.  PLEASE…try to attend the family Reunion it has become.  We miss you.  Come back home that weekend to you family and friends!!!   

 

 

Chinese Auction…Will be held Sat. afternoon.  All donations are greatly appreciated and must be at the campground by noon on Saturday.  As voted upon this will be our ONLY fundraiser.  Please be generous in donations of items and on chances to win.  Winners will be drawn after the 5pm meeting.

 

MEETING…Our Reunion meeting will take place Sat at 5pm.  We will vote on next year’s Reunion dates, cost, nominate new members, and any old or new business will be discussed.  A fully catered Pig Roast will be served immediately following.   

 

Pig Roast…As voted on last year there will be a catered pig roast at NO ADDITIONAL cost to you.   I have secured the same caterer that we used two years ago. Menu includes the fully cooked pig stuffed with extra pork, dogs, and kielbasa, homemade bread stuffing and gravy, corn, and cold pasta salad.   

 

DJ/Karaoke…Cheryl, aka “Velvet” will once again be providing us with DJ/Karaoke services on Sat. night from 7-11pm. 

 

Reminder…As a voted rule: Due to the large number of people and children attending…There will be NO ANIMALS permitted under or immediately around the pavilion.  This is for the safety of all attending and for insurance purposes.  THANK YOU!!!

 

Costs…No price increases this year!  The party price is $20 per person per day from Wed. to Sun.  This is separate from the campground fees of $10.00/day ($5.00 child) payable upon check in.  The party price covers your non-alcoholic beverages, breakfast items, burgers, dogs, buns, condiments, supplies, and the pig roast.  Beer on tap includes Coors Lite, Yuengling, and Budweiser. We got it covered, but any munchies or side dishes you must bring yourself.  Come when you can…Saturday is the Big Day!  Beer truck arrives Wed. at noon.  Yeah!!!

 

Items for sale…Last year we voted to create T-shirts and coffee mugs to commemorate our 21st Reunion.  Please order in advance.  Limited quantities were printed due to our funds.  All items will be on a first come, first serve basis.  I only ordered 4 dozen t-shirts and 5 dozen mugs.  Please see back of letter for a detailed description of the items for sale. We are only making a dollar off of each item and keeping the Chinese Auction as our only/main fundraiser.  If you can not attend but want a t-shirt or mug…let me know and send me an order.  I’ll get it to you.
